3 Easy Steps to Building A House
1. Lock In Your Price:
Building a house with Homes Now begins with an initial deposit of $100, this will lock in the base price of your chosen home and your associated bonus offer for up to 90 Days from date of payment. During this time you will work with your Senior Consultant to ensure everything is in order for you, then you proceed to your New Homes Contract.
2. Your New Home Contract:
When everything is in order you then enter into your new home building contract with one of our Accredited Builder Members, at step 2 we require the balance of your $2000 deposit and all related land documents. Upon receipt of this Homes Now will:
A) Obtain the necessary information about your block of land, including
- title and planning information
- soil testing and contour surveys conducted by an independent firm of geotechnical engineers on your land
- conduct a thorough site inspection by one of out Accredited Builder Members
- order a BAL (bushfire) report and property service information for your land
B) Site your home to meet all construction, developer and legislative requirements and prepare preliminary working drawings based on your standard house type, reflecting any requested modifications you have requested; and
C) Prepare a summary of costs, new home building contract and associated documentation that will set out the charges associated with building your nominated house type on your block of land.
All of these documents will be completed within 20 working days of receiving your documents in our office. Once completed, you will meet with one of our experienced Contracts Managers, who will present your new home building contract and explain the design and construction costings to you, this gives you a better understanding of the process, especially if it is your first time building a home.
3. Final Working Drawings and Building Permit:
After you have agreed to your new home building contract and your 5% deposit has been paid, Homes Now will finalise your working drawings and arrange your colour selection appointment at our Head Office. Once your final drawings are complete your Accredited Builder Member will prepare all the documents necessary to obtaining a building permit for your new home.
Once obtained your new home is underway and you will be moving in before you know it.
