Is it hard to become a Homes Now Builder Member?
Homes Now has a rigorous selection criteria in place, meaning you can rest assured that the builder allocated to your new home has met all of these criteria prior to becoming a member. Potential members must have the ability to demonstrate exceptional building technical skills, as well as a sound industry reputation, that can only have been acquired over their many years of trade experience. All our current members are required to work to our strict high standard of performance, as well as uphold our Code of Conduct (see below). In addition, Homes Now has implemented an internal quality assurance system that rates our members for their professional conduct and ensures that they are continually striving for excellence.
How much deposit will I need to pay?
All Homes Now requires is a $100 deposit to lock in the inclusions, pricing and any bonuses for up to 3 months. Once you have a block of land and are ready to proceed the balance of only $2,000 is required to Homes Now to undertake a soil test and builder inspection on your block of land and prepare a Summary of Costs, Building Contracts, Specifications and full preliminary working drawings.
What happens if I pay my $100 deposit and I can’t go ahead?
At Homes Now we are so confident we have the best value for money in the market place that we offer a Money Back Guarantee on your $100 deposit and it will be refunded if full if you cannot to go ahead for any reason. When you are able to move forward you can come back to us with the full confidence of knowing that we put you first and do what we say we will.
How long does it take to prepare my contracts documentation?
Homes Now Guarantees that once we have received your full deposit and all required documentation we will provide you with your Summary of Costs, Building Contracts, Specifications and full preliminary working drawings within 28 days.
Can Homes Now assist with the Town Planning Process?
At Homes Now we realize that a knock down rebuild or building 2 or more dwelling on the one site can be a long a tedious process. At Homes now we only ask for a $1,000 deposit to arrange for a town planner to complete a feasibility on your behalf. It the project is deemed feasible Homes Now will then liaise between yourself and the Town Planner through the whole process to get your project off the ground.
What sets Homes Now Inclusions apart from other builders?
Homes Now includes what most builders don’t, including an “H” Class Waffle Pod Slab, Site cut and fill up to 500mm, all council requirements, termite protection, concrete driveway, window furnishings, rendered facade and Westinghouse 900mm appliances just to name a few. At Homes Now we include everything you need for your new homes which most builders call extras; we even include your letter box and clothes line!

These are the questions we really should be asking but due to a lack of experience perhaps may not know to ask, consider these questions carefully when choosing your builder as getting some of these wrong or not knowing about them going in can cost you thousands more than you budgeted for.
Are there any Site Costs included in your standard inclusions?
At Homes Now Site Costs are Included! What most other builders charge as extra we include; “H” Class Waffle Pod Slab, 500mm Site Cut and Fill, Council Requirements, Temporary Fencing, Termite Protection and Gattic Drain to the Garage.
The only slab or foundation class beyond “H” is “P” which we believe stands for “potential problems” and these will cost extra regardless of who you build with. If you have not yet bought a block speak to our land search team today, they will do their best to ensure your land is perfect for the home design you love and we will aim to keep you away from areas where the ground will need additional work and “P” class foundations and therefore save you money.
If you have a block already and your soil tests and compaction report come back recommending a “P” class slab or foundation just be aware that this will mean additional costs as getting the foundation right is crucial before building your new home.
Do your standard inclusions include everything we need in our new home?

How much experience do your construction managers or building supervisors have?
At Homes Now the construction of your home from start to finish, will be managed by a registered building practitioner with many, many years of experience. That’s right – One builder through the entire construction process, that doesn’t happen often and when a new home construction job has to be handed over half way through this is where mistakes happen and your costs start to skyrocket. Having one builder throughout the building of your new home is just another way we protect you and your hard earned money here at Homes Now.

Will the Building supervisor meet me on site before construction starts?
At Homes Now our Registered Building Practitioner will meet you on site prior to your construction commencing to discuss how the construction of your home will happen and give you the time to get the answers any questions you may have. Your builder will also meet you on site throughout the construction of your new home to discuss the progress and what will happen next so you are always informed and in the picture which means you get to enjoy the process of building your new home a lot more than someone who is shut out from their own site.
